461,8 km - 3 times world record for the SOL pilotswednesday, 14 November 2007
A special day for the Brazilian and World paragliding. After more than 5 years the Free Distance world record: the only important record that SOL didn´t have earned yet.
The Tracer pilots Frank Brown, Rafael Saladini and Marcelo `Ceceu´ Prieto flew 461,8 km.

Some preliminary flight data:
- All of them flew together almost all the time during the flight. At the end they landed exactly at the same spot.
- The first take-off of the first one was at 7:20 a.m.
- The daybreak was at 5:30 a.m and the sky was clear. Little by little some clouds came and covered everything and it rained a little bit…
- Many pilots did not take off because they thought that it would be a bad day...
- They took off in group, together with other pilots of the competition and this helped a lot because in the dawn the condition is very weak.
- At 1 p.m. the pilots have already flown 280 km
- at 4:45 p.m. (still flying) Frank called SOL saying that the 3 of them were in km 423 at 1800m above ground, going up and with at least 45 minutes to go and excellent conditions to continue flying and they would land together to share the record.
- At about 5:45 p.m – broken record – the 3 of them landed together as they planed: 461,8 km.
Congratulations for them and all who was involved in the project to break the record that it has been done since 2002.
